Project Objective :
Sustainable Solution for Children with Cerebral Palsy by Developing a Cost Effective Wearable Motion Monitoring and Exercise System (SUPERMON+)
Cerebral palsy (CP) affects movement and coordination, but wearable systems offer real-time feedback to understand patterns and identify dysfunctions. A EUROSTARS 3 – Call 5 (application number: 4556) project, SUPERMON+, aims to develop a cost-effective wearable monitoring and rehabilitation system for children with CP, using next-generation true wireless earbuds and sensor-integrated game systems. The system enables physicians to monitor patients’ functional quality in their daily lives, suggest activities based on their performances, and provide 24/7 objective, patient-specific data acquisition to tailor treatment. The project seeks to improve the sustainability of rehabilitation and therapy efficiency, reduce the time and cost of treatment, fine-tune physical therapy, and develop personalized rehabilitation programs.
